The Power Of Today

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matt 6:34

This verse says it all. We can so easily get caught up in worrying about the future we forget about taking advantage of the day before us! As followers of Christ – every day is an opportunity to make a difference in a world that needs “difference makers”. I feel so blessed to work in a ministry that serves coaches because of the impact they have on their young athletes. Recently one of my closest friends and mentors passed away and it caused me to reflect on the number of young people he touched. It also caused me to think about all the opportunities GOD gives us every single day. Mike Ditka (former NFL coach) once said “yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why they call it the present”.

 Scripture tells us:

“This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it”. Psalm 118:24

Can you imagine the impact we can have if we just share the JOY of knowing JESUS daily? This alone will allow me to slow down and see who GOD puts in front of me right now! None of us are promised tomorrow but WE HAVE TODAY!
